Anal Fissures.

Hi there, I feel like talking to you because like everyone in this chat, I too have an anal fissure.

But there is one thing different in contrast to myself and the rest of you.

I am only 14 years old. I don't go to work, I go to school instead. I sit in a chair for 9 hours a day, and lately I just cant get out of my bed anymore. In fact, I dont even go anywhere anymore.

I am suffering with not just an Anal Fissure, also Pinworms and a yeast infection which have all led to some sort of burns? around my anus and vagina which makes the pain even worse! And the Anal Fissure just gets worse and worse to the point I cannot go to the toilet to have a BM anymore. I cant even go to urinate otherwise It aggrivates a painful BM. And I cant take this anymore. The pain and itching keeps up at night, and the pain itself is just unbearable! I've had to do BM's manually (disgusting I know) to reduce the pain, and the soft stools seem to be even more painful than the hard stools which doesnt even make sense!

Problem is, no I haven't been to the doctor about this because that involves telling my family...and that is something I cant do since they will take it as a joke and do nothing about it because they are too busy and will just tease me about it every day. I take hot/warm baths every single day, but now I just don't know what to do. I can't buy anything because I am only 14 etc. I've had this for a year but now i just cant deal with it anymore...It just makes me want to cry.

You shouldn't be going through this alone. Have you had a diagnosis officially from a doctor? Pin worms can be managed so easily with an over the counter medicine so I really insist you reach out to someone you can rely on - a teacher a friend or a family member - it's important you don't just leave this!!

    Sending lots of love x

Thank you, and no I haven't but I know what pinworms look like, but I am stuck between a Yeast infection or Thrush, but I tried the plain yogurt thing but it didn't make any difference so then I found some Thrush cream and currently using that, which seems to be slowly improving the vaginal condition. For the supposed Anal Fissure however, I can't be so sure but I've read up on it and seems like the same symtoms as I have, and I know I have a tear, except its on the inside and out? TMI I know, but these things have got to be said sometime haha. I have gathered some confidence and am going to talk to my mother alone tonight, and try and get her to book an appointment with the doctor, and I really want this sorted out. Recently its got so painful, and I know its getting worse. Thank you for your reply, I really appriciate it! xx

Please go visit a doctor, first tell to a trusted family member...and visit the doctor as soon as possible.

Your life is most important for you than some teasing from your family.

Dont let this sit for long

I agree with all the above...

You are only 14 there shouldn't be any reason for you to be in any kind of pain.

Please talk to a teacher or someone you think you can trust.

    Wish you well

My friend go to docter yourself if your parents dont take you or go to nearest clinic or hospital where ever you live and tell them your problem all the best in future

Awww I feel bad for you, way too young to be going through that. Defiantly at least tell your parents what's going on. So what if anyone teases you, it's so common they will probably end up with one once karma catches up with them. You defiantly need to see a doctor ASAP. Get some coconut oil to ad to the warm bath right away, it will sting a lot but it heals. You gotta get up out and active, the pain destroys you mentally resulting in inflammation and irritation.... remember it takes 3 months or more for a fissure to completely heal so it's gonna be a long ride but keep you sprit up. These things can lead to cancer and other conditions so get checked out soon.

I walk a mile every morning to school if that counts, and sometimes the afternoons every day unless I get picked up, It helps for about a couple hours until the pain starts again.

For the coconut oil, do you know the rough amount of how much I should put in a regular bath? I'll try anything to get this healed, as I am also going to spain in two in a half weeks, and I have my mock exams in less than a weeks time. I use Vasoline and to be honest it doesn't seem to make a difference for my Anal fissure, so hopefully your method might be better! I'll try and get myself to a doctor, as I can't go any further like this, and I know its for the best. Thank you for your reply!

Abby..... YOU NEED TO TELL SOMEONE!

You are too young to be this miserable and not have a support system.

Most of all.... YOU NEED MEDICAL CARE for the pinworms. You need medication to take care of this problem FIRST. Pinworms are treated with pills and then you can concentrate on your fissures.

Start, if you can, by taking one stool softener a day (but a doctor should approve this also because of your age) and tons of water. Work at keeping your stool soft. There is no way around.

I am so sorry to hear that you...so youn...are going through this and feel you cannot count on your parents.

You need to see a doctor.sad

      Thank you for your reply.

I think I am just going to brave it out and talk to my mother this evening before she goes to sleep, away from the rest of my family's earshot. I have two brothers you see, so I don't have any sisters to go too and my mother hardly cares. But honestly, today its been pretty bad for me. I feel so sick, and my stomach feels really cramped up, and the last thing I want is some infection in my intestines because of the toxins in waste. And yes, you're right. I do need a doctor, but I don't know If the one I am registered at is the right kind of thing for the Anal fissure. Don't you need to go to a specialist or something? I don't know, but I will find out hopefully as soon as possible. And do you know the name of the pills for Pinworms and Stool Softeners? Maybe I can get it in a prescription from the doctors, as I do take Birth Control pills on top of all this since I have a heavy blood flow when it comes to periods. But that has been sorted lucky enough! And for the water, I have this strange habit of being addicted to Ice, so basically I freeze a water tray but make watery ice, and I do it all the time. It cools me down since I have a really hot room, so long story short I drink a lot of water xx

Omg, it's really dangerous the fact that you haven't told anyone yet...

You MUST have this taken care of, asap.

As soon you get to the doc. They'll know what to tell you.

Please please please let someone know

I know, and maybe if I got this sorted out way earlier maybe it would be so bad, but Its such a hard subject to talk about, and my family aren't the nicest people on earth...

Hopefully when I tell her tonight she'll have some common sense to take me to a doctor the next day. And If she doesn't I am walking there myself. After reading these helpful replies, I truly understand how dire the situation and I really needed the serious advice, as I wasn't too sure myself on what to do. Thank you so much, I really appriciate the help you have given to me!

      You are welcome...

I am sure everyone here know the kind of pain this is,so we all understand what you are going trough except for ; you are so young and you should be enjoying your youth and not suffer and be miserable.

You might be srrprised how receptive your mom will be , once you tell her your problem.

      Good luck

Can really understand your reasons to holding back from not informing your family, can totally relate to it.

When i was 16, I had yeast infection and felt ashamed/embarrassed to say to anyone about it and didnt say for months to my parents but finally they figured it out and took me to a doctor and within a week everything was sorted.

Ofcourse its embarrasing to say to anyone especially to the people whom we will meet everyday. But nothing is bigger than your health...its good you have gathered courage to say to your mom. Just show her some comments on this forum and may be she can see that its a real problem and lots of people suffering by it
