Anal Fistula Surgery or Not

Hello Guys,

probably been asked a million times here, so please bear with me. I have been diagnosed with Anal fistula a few months ago. Doctor have advised surgery. Needless to say I am quite petrified of going under the surgeons knife. So far the main discomfort is the discharge of the liquid which really is quite irritating. The pain is there but quite slight, more after a round of golf when the area around it becomes really sensitive. Looking for all kinds of advice and experiences from anyone who can tell me if I should go for the surgery or not.
