I have the same, would be interesting to find out what this is. I am living through hell at the moment wish severe pain and itching in the whole of the anal/rectal area and my perineum is the same as yours! No dr seems to know what is wrong with me, its 7 months now and i sit and cry, i live on pain killers and hemorroid creams and supositories ( i only have one hemorhoid) but the whole area is inflamed, raw, stinging burning and itching inside and out and it never ever stops.

omg its horrible isnt it! ive had doctors tell me its piles or a haemorroid. I went to the doctors the other day for him to say its a skin tag and he's "not convinced im in pain" it's horrible its constantly itchy and sore to sit down or go to the toilet. The doctors really don't have a clue!

Sounds like potential there for a fissure that's has gone un-diagnosed. Has your physician ruled out anal fissures with a visual exam?

yes ive had doctors constantly telling me different things. They pulled up my records and it's actually a year i have had it. the first time they said it was a fissure. Then said piles, then external haemorroids and the last doctor i saw said a skin tag and said i was lying about the pain and he also "wasn't convinced it was bleeding or sore" his exact words. I feel at such a loss.
