Anal pain- Not fissure. Proctalgia?

Hi, I'm hoping somebody can offer some advice please.

I have been suffering with anal pain for almost two years everytime i have a BM. The pain is burning and lasts for the rest of the day. I have had a Sigmoidscopy that was clear for piles/fissure etc.

The consultant said it is IBS related and called Proctalgia Fugax, he said my only option is pain management with Amatriptaline medication to relax the muscle. Ive read really mixed reviews on this drug and ideally would like to try a lifestyle/natural way to help with my anal pain.

I do suffer with constipation IBS and try to manage this with stool softners. My anal pain after a BM seems to be no matter if my stool is soft or hard and just triggers when i have a BM.

Any advice is welcome and much appreciated, thanks
