I went to the doctors a while ago about a lump on my bum to be told it is a skin tag, I can't remember if I asked if there's anything that can be done about it. Does anyone know if there are any home remedies or if I can get it removed privately? When I spread it, it is purple. (I'm in the UK) Thanksimage

Dont use any sort of home remedy on it . They are only for tiny tags. Yes,it can be removed but I dont think the NHS would do it. Ask your NHS GP to refer you privately to someone who can do it at a private hospital. Your GP will know the best person to do it.If you dont have Private Insurance make sure you investigate the costs first. It usually costs about £100 to £150 for a first appointment to be assessed and then you decide if you want to have it done, when you know the full cost. Hope that helps.
