Anal skin tag surgery scar tissue

I had an anal skin tag removed and the area with scar tissue just looks like another tag and feel bumpy. Does anyone have the same issue?

How long ago was it removed? I had one removed on 2/18 and while it isn't perfect I think it looks 90% better and most likely won't mess with it anymore.

It's been about 10 months or so. So it's been 3 years? Has the scar healed for you?

I'm only almost 5 weeks out. Still a little piece there. Much better though. I did have the runs twice tonight so it swelled. I'm currently stuffed with gauze and have lidocaine on it. It is 10pm here so it should be ok by the morning.

oh you meant february! I have a little piece as well. But I doubt mine will deswell or go away. It's fine though! It's much better than before 😃 i was wondering what was your condition prior that you had to get it done?

I had 3 kids really close together. My second pregnancy left me with 2 hemorrhoids & small skin tag. Fast forward 14 years and I was tired of it. Never really caused much issues but harder to keep clean. Surgery went great, no infections, pain was there & some days were worse than others. I also had a lot of swelling for about 6 weeks. Probaby ended up with the skin tag I just had taken off from surgery swelling. It still isn't perfect as I still have a tiny piece left...maybe just scar tissue but overall MUCH better, WAY smaller and I'm finally happy with my end result.

You are fully healed at 6 weeks? i had 3 skin tags removed six weeks ago. At my 5 week check up, the doc said it was all healing properly but i still had two open cuts that needed to be healed before the swelling would decrease. She said it looked "good" for five weeks post-op. Now at six weeks, the bumps are still there and a have a new bump. i dont know what to do!!
