And in addition to the tingling...

Thanks so much for everyone's info and suggestions. I've tried some of the options listed prior but so far no improvement, but will keep trying to see if anything helps.
In addition to the whole body tingling constantly, have had issues with my tongue tingling and/or dry mouth. Sometimes the tip of my tongue tingles so it's really uncomfortable. Other times it's the whole tongue and usually then accompanied by a nasty taste as well. My gastro doc said that there's no issues from my stomach that would cause this.
Do any of these mouth issues sound familiar to any one? If so, any advice/help would be great.

Hi, Mary,
Gabomentin or Gabapentin? I'm on Gabapentin now, low dose at 300 mg x2/day. Makes me a bit tired during the day. Same for you?
Because of the day time tiredness issue doc is switching me to DULOXETINE which looks a lot like elavil as it's also an anti-depressant, but after checking the side effects it looks like just switching one issue for maybe other issues.
Still have tingling, but not as bad with the gaba.
What dosage are you taking of the drugs and how has it worked for you? did it reduce the issues or eliminate them?

i think numbness in the mouth can be a sign the nerves in your neck can be compressed.

Just an update. The ortho doc and neurologist together have ruled out any back/neck issues causes for the tingling. Testing for large fiber neuropathy negative. Current contender for root cause is rheumatoid arthritis which I've had for 20+ years. Seems RA can cause nerve issues in addition to joint issues. Gabapentin has brought some relief. Neuro doc will be working with RA doc on other options to try.
RA can be detected pretty easily with a blood test if you want to check out that option. RA generally does impact the joints first.
