Hi All....this is my first post. Has anyone had the anterior XLif at 3 levels (L5/S1, L4 & L3), what was your experience of the 24 hours post op and the days & weeks following the op please? Also how is your flexibility now for tying shoe laces, walking, standing, ect and .....(the 6 million dollar question).... do you regret having the op or are you delighted with the results?

The NHS spine surgeon has told me this is the op I need but wont carry out the op until i loose 3 stones. I'm 16.5 stone and 5'-9". Because if the pain i am in I saw a private surgeon who has no issues carrying out the op at my current weight but it will cost me £30k at the Nuffield. Has anyone had this op done on the NHS who is my sort of weight please?
