Anger/Irritability with PTSD?

I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and am still trying to understand what it is as well as the symptoms. I have noticed I do get irritated easily. Like if my mom just casually starts talking to me I just want to scream. It's like I have all this built up aggression towards her and I expect her t know that. So I guess when she talks about things that just don't seem important at all, I get angry with her for not knowing I am upset with her? Does this make any since? I guess I am just holding on to past anger and when people that have hurt me in the past are around me, I want to express that anger. But I am coming to realize they have no idea what is going on or what I am mad about. Is this common with PTSD? Does anyone else experience this?

Yes all makes sense you need to talk out what has caused your PTSD. Has your GP arranged an appointment to address your problem. I suppose in some ways you feel no-one is listening ?

I feel for you, ptsd is horrible and throws up a whole range of symptoms. Irritability and anger is part and parcel of it. Ask your doctor for help. You clearly need some support for whatever has caused your ptsd. Good luck you'll get there - with the right support!
