      Hi Christine

I have gone through all this, I had a bypass in 2000,now that it has been 14years it has started troubling me again. Now after 14years technology and science have advanced, I would like to know what is the line of treatment today for angina. Thanks

      hi ravindra

none im afraid but the GNT unless its blocked your tubes up again  i have had two failed bypasses im on the same drugs i took after they were done one been 1988 the other 2003 im in the same position now you have been very lucky for it to last that long no disrespect to you but i can only say you could try for another my freind had hers done 14yrs ago she goses for another bypass next month as they are supposed to only last 10.If you are in the UK it might be the same surgon that did her's lol

if i was you get your dr to refer you back let them see if its bad enough for another they won't refuse to see you if you don't push you won't get no were im sorry you are experiencing this problem but so long as you are well enough to pull through i can't see why you shouldn't be able to have another done this happen's they not guranteed to last a life time anyway nearly every one ive spoke to as had to have it redone.

I wish they could have got the second right but it wasen't just that i had to have it done for i had a 5cm Anurysum wich was on the verdge of busrsing and my heart scrapped so they thought they would try giving me another bypass a different way vein out of my arm then across the chest to no avail for that either.I can't have any more heart procedure's done im too poorly as i suffer with that may illness's they won't risk it but you get yourself of and get refred back they can only say yes or no but other than that this is the only opinion .

keep me posted on what you decide

      take care

      christine.
