Angry, cystic acne that takes forever to dry

I used to get pimples before my period, that's normal for me, but for my last two cycles, I get these huge, painful cystic acne that does not stop appearing on the lower half of my face. It takes a very long time for them to dry and leave ugly scars. Anyone experienced this during peri? Does this eventually stop?

Goodness I had this happen in my mid 40's and it was horrid! Can be so upsetting to wake up day after day to yet another new lump! I really feel for you because this was so rough for me, facing people at work, my family/friends...it was really hard and seemed to come out of nowhere. My face got to a horrendous state when i finally went to my doc & he gave me a sample of a topical ointment called Tactuo.

It was like a miracle! Within 2 weeks of use, I felt like myself again - the most lumpy, red mess basically flattened out and started to go away. It did redden my face a bit at first, but the inflammation went down within a couple of days.

It gave me my life back - sounds dramatic, but facing people started to become hard for me to do, with packed on coverstick and powders, that I didn't want to go out or see people anymore. It is sold in different places under a different name, but you should be able to find it from a pharmacist. Good luck! I know how hard that is to deal with - it's enough to feel rough in Peri, but to feel bad about your skin on top of everything is just too much! lol!
