I've had a triple fusion on one foot and I really can't remember whether I was ever able to turn it from side to side as it's a long time since I did ballet! Probably about 70 years. I have just been trying to turn it from side to side and it doesn't really want to do it but then the other foot doesn't either - though that is waiting for the same operation.
Obviously at my age I am just glad to be out of pain and able to walk on the fused foot. I guess it's different for someone younger.

Hi Penny! I’m going to be 67 in August. I’m not playing on doing any 5k anytime soon. Lol. I just don’t want pain and to be able to walk without pain and play with my grandkids. My husband said as soon I can walk we can go to Italy. So I’m looking forward to that. You say you can walk with no pain now? How far an you walk? Like in a mall, can you walk with know pain? Can you wear all shoes or just tennis shoes? When was your surgery? Thank you for sharing.🙏

HI folks,
Just got back from a short holiday in France to find this triple fusion chat. It is so much better walking the endless airport passages with one bad ankle/foot than with two bad ones as it was last year before I had my triple fusion. Now I live in the UK and my operation was in Oxford with Mr Bob Sharp..... he is a specialist and very good but that won't be very helpful for most of you in the US. I am sorry. I really am astounded how good the fused foot is - I did quite a bit of walking, admittedly quite slowly because not only am I waiting for the second operation but I also have a knee that wants doing! But there is no pain at all in the fused foot so what can I say? The fact that I am going for the second one in three weeks' time says it all....

With tripple fusion U r fusing all 3 joints in your ankle..
If U can hold off or there is any other options, go that as I've had nothing but trouble and wouldn't of gone ahead if I'd researched it first.. My bad
