Ankle Fusion Here I Go...

Today I visit my consultant surgeon to talk about ankle fusion for me. I'm going to go for it as my right foot drags behind me at times and I get so much pain. I use crutches now as I fell over and cracked my ankle which immediately swelled up and gave me a lot of pain. I was put in a caste (back slab) for a week to help me.

If anyone has any post op tips for getting about on one foot I'm all ears. Also I will be working out as much as I can to try to get back to normal.

I have been here before as I had my left ankle rebuilt in '05

What fun...

I had my ankle fused January 2017 I am still improving, the first 6 weeks are the hardest as you will be non weight bearing, I used a wheelchair to get around and did a lot of hopping on one leg. I also did lots of physical therapy in the pool and with the physio.
