Once youre able to start weight bearing, will there be pain? what pain is normal and whats pain that i should be worried about?

the first couple weeks yes I had some pain! some days to the point where i just couldnt walk on it. i think its very important to take your time and not over due it- but its also very important not to baby it. you have to find the happy medium.
I am now 12 weeks out from ORIF ankle sx and life has returned to normal. my limp is gone. im wearing sneakers and sandals! im driving!
I started partial WB at 6 weeks and was full WB in my sneakers by 8 weeks. it takes time!! pain is normal. just listen to your body!

everyone is different, i didn't have any pain or discomfort. i credited that to my physical therapy . i had aggressive physical therapy that prepared my ankle for the walking. the most challenge i had was every time i sat down and get up to start walking again i had to warm my ankle before walking. i had to push threw that part which lasted about a month. i'm almost two years with broken ankle in three places with two plates and seven screws. 50 yrs old with any problems at all.
