Ankle is still swollen two years after surgery.

I broke my fibula just above the ankle joint two years ago. I had surgery to correct it which included a titanium plate. I can feel one of the screws but that is really mostly a party trick so to speak. Problem is, the swelling has never gone down. Is my body rejecting the plate? Was it never fixed properly? It doesn't hurt but it bothers me and when I show people they are shocked.imageimage
