Interesting that you posted this...I was just telling my husband that my shin is also very tender to touch and I was going to take to my PT folks about it tomorrow.   I will let you know what they say.   I am 5 weeks out.

Hi yeah I had ankle and big toe area for nearly 6 weeks. It's gone now I was told it's the way they they hold your leg as they twist it for alignment to hip. Good luck

    Hi

I am 8 months out from rtkr and I still get shin aches. It also looks shiny and of all things that’s where they had the drain. The fallout from this surgery never ceases to amaze me. I was feeling great the last few days then this morning I woke up feeling like I had a 50 pound cast on my leg. Well I’m waiting for the magic to come when I can honestly say I’m pain free. I sincerely hope there is a day like that for all of us.

    Hi Sue

i had terrible painful shin, calf and ankle about 3-4 weeks after my TKR, after visiting the doctor a couple of times decided it was phelbitis caused through trauma of the operation, I sympathies use with you, now 2 months post op all that has gone but did take about a month to settle down, elevate your leg and use the cold compress ,also used V Neal cream for varicose veins seemed to help. Good luck with it, hope that assures you a little
