Ankle pain

Hi I'm Kassidy I'm new here.Back in July, I broke my ankle. I had to have surgery in which I had to get a plate, screws, and a tight rope. We're in December which I know is only 4 months out but is it normal to experience sharp shooting pain in the back of my foot? Sometimes it's hard for me to walk. I try and wear a compression sock, ice it, and elevate it as much as I can. This was my first surgery so I'm nervous and scared and in pain and I don't know what to do.
