Ankle Pain for 11 Months

So, I have been dealing with this pain in my inside right ankle and right along the back of my right ankle. I play soccer but I didn't do anything to hurt it. It has been painful for the past 11 months. I have been to a podiatrist, an orthopedic doctor, and a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. I wore a boot for 2 weeks, then just wore a brace. That didn't work so then I wore an even bugger walking boot for 8 weeks. I have done physical therapy on and off, yet I am still in extreme pain. The doctors say it is posterial tendonitis. But I don't think it is because it should have healed. I have had 3 X-Rays, 1 MRI and too many doctors too wrap my head around. I just want to feel better and to be cleared to play soccer but I am still in extreme pain. Anybody have an ideas on what to do.

I have a different injury, fracture, but healing is definitely not quick for anything ankle. Did they ever cast you to give it some time to heal?  I played soccer for a long time, I can definitely see how it could occur with overuse. Is there any way you could go non weight bearing for at least a few weeks and see if the pain begins to diminish. Maybe you need some solid time off of it. The boot will support your ankle, but like a fracture, if you walk in your boot before it's time you can exacerbate your injury or just not heal properly. If it were me, I'd go no walking whatsoever, knee scooter or crutches, to see if I started improving.

Sorry about your pain the only thing I can tell you is when you take your X-ray what did they say about it and why do you still got pain ankle injuries or really severe especially when you play sports you might have to just ease off a little bit on the soccer and keep on doing the physical therapy at home you can Google it about your injury and therapy they do and try that and put ice on it every time we do your therapy at home and Advil that's only thing I can tell you ankle pain that's not really Pleasant good luck to you have a blessed day
