Ankle Pain for no reason

Posted , 3 users are following.

A couple of days ago I woke and found it was painful to move my left foot towards the left. No swelling, not red. Very sore to move, or push it to the left. Pain around front and small toe side of ankle. What on earth can this be? I don't do sports, but I do walk a lot. However, not for a few days before this pain came. Anybody out these experienced the same?

Is it just in your ankles, and not in any of your major muscles.  This would include arm, neck and  shoulders.  Does it ease after about three quarters of an hour after get up in the morning?  The only real way is to get your Doctor to send you on a blood test and take it from there.  Steroids will 'cure' the pain if it's PMR but it's not a real cure - just masking the symptoms whilst the body rights itself.

Thanks for this, but no, it is only in my feet. I have had it in the other foot/ankle previously. No problems anywhere else. That's why I haven't been to the doctor (besides I don't like going to the doctor) I don't like the idea of steroids, sounds serious.

    Hi akegolfrman

wow I feel very frustratied for u I think what u need to do apart from seeing your local doctor so u can X-rays and test done however lots of 20 minute on and 20 minute off with ice packs wraps in something so u don't burn your foot / ankle with the it. I know it worked for me for a while but I then had to give in and go to my doctor and have some treatment done.. I wish u the best of luck and take care

What was the 'treatment' you had done?

I have tried all sorts of exercise/massage on it to no avail.
