Ankle painful to touch after walking

Just over 2 months ago, I had my 3rd surgery to repair ligament damage that's just continued to get worse.

June 7th I had my cast off, weight bearing as tolerated. The following Saturday I spent hours out walking, pulled something in my ankle, and was hurting for a few days.

I was told to take it easy this past Thursday, and I really haven't been doing anything since then.

My neighbor and I walked to the store, 15 minutes walk, taking a couple of breaks on the way. Spent about half an hour in the store, then took the bus most of the way home.

Now that I've had my boot off for a while, I've noticed my ankle is extremely painful to touch. I'm not sure why though.

I'm afraid if I contact my surgeon's office, I'll be told that I'm overdoing it again. I have been taking it easy.

I guess I'm trying to walk too soon, but I'm tired of being cooped up.

I think its way to soon to be pushing yourself with all that walking. I'm assuming you hurt yourself even more the first time, but only an Xray will tell.  Don't be silly and not call your doc. Just have it checked for peace of mind and maybe they can give you a stronger med . Good luck

I saw him last week, he told me he doesn't think I did any damage. I see him again next month.
