Ankle sound after

As I wrote before. I had a distal fibula fracture (weber A) because of an accident. My leg was in the cast for 7 weeks. Then the doctor removed the cast and allowed me to move with ankle gel support. The fracture is malunited 2-3 mm as they said but they said it's ok to move and FWB. Now I'm in the 14th week after fracture but i still have a high sound like cracking bones when I tried to stand on the injured leg only without the other leg. I don't know why and what is that sound. I feel it comes from the side of the fracture, sometimes from the other side, and sometimes from the back of my ankle. The doctors said don't stand on one leg only but they didn't gave me an explanation for that sound. Anybody here had the same fracture and sound ?

I had CT scan before they put my leg in the cast but they didn't told me if there is a ligament damage or not and no one asked me to get MRI.
