ankle surgery yesterday some bleeding and pain meds not helping

Ankle burning bad, heel in so much pain, can't seem to get comfortable to sleep? Some blood on gauze

    Hi Meaghan,

    Hang in there. So sorry for the awful pain. It hurts so bad I know. Was the same thing for me. Keep it elevated. Foot above heart. Can you ice it? Two pillows under leg and foot, starting knee on down to foot. First days are bad. Sending comfort wishes.

      Pillows where? And is the little bit of blood on gauze okay? Percocet isnt even helping painsad how long were you on pain meds?

    Yes, the first two days are the worst, hugs

    Greatly elevate your foot and leg on pillows. Pack your foot in ice. This will reduce the swelling and then reduce the pain.

    Have someone run to the pharmacy and purchase four mesium size rectangular gel packs...they will help you. This way you can have two frozen ones in use (one on either side of your foot) while two are being frozen for use.
