3 months out from total shoulder replacement. Doing PT and daily exercises at home. Was doing better and PT few days ago was very painful. Since then having hard time moving shoulder without pain. Pain also keeping me up at night. Worried at PT something got torn or damaged. Just wonder if anyone else has had this happen or if it’s normal to feel like your going backwards.

    Hey there,

I? am 2 months post op and have same exact situation.  What one of my friends who has certifications out the wazoo told me was all of the minor muscles around the shoulder and getting overworked. This is due to the fact the shoulder is not moving correctly and is not engaging the major muscles that should be doing the work.   Dry needling has been helping me but still need ibuprofen at night to get through.

I had total reverse shoulder surgery in April and I'm still in pain and can't put my arm over my head yet. Went to physical therapy still in pain I worked at Tire Store for 21 years so I stop working so I would stop picking up tires and wheels.Hopefully I will get better soon
