Annoying cough

My daughter has a little cold bug and I assume she gave it to me because on Monday I had a sore throat and by Wednesday I was hoarse and had a cough. Now it's Friday my voice has returned about 90% but I still have the cough and it is one of those coughs that will be fine one minute and then all of a sudden it'll just be like I can't stop and it is one of those hacking coughs. I feel like I have to run and grab some water or I might choke. Anyone else experience this kind of cough during peri?

    Hi

I'm not sure the cough is menopause related, I'm only speaking for mself though, so others may have a different view on that.

If it's a dry, tickly cough, the only thing that has wrked for me is Covonia (the one with Pholcodine). It;s the only one which stopped everything so I could sleep. Don't use it if your cough is 'productive' though, it's only for the dry ones. I hope you feel better soon :-)

Oh yes what comfort to know that there is someone else with the same symotms,  i too had a bad cold andcough lost voice and ever since have had this annoying cough.  that was aout 2 years ago.

Take great comfort in knowing you are not the only one.  no point going to the doctor he will prob say get an over the counter medicine for ticly cough.  I just keep some pastilles or lozenges with me and when it comes on pop one in quickly then it eases off.  sometimes it is so embarassing.
