Another colonoscopy and low ferritin.

Hi everyone. Had a bowel resection 3 years ago and iliostomy y bag for 3 months and a reversal and then a year ago I had my appendix removed because of adhesion from the ileostomy scar. .Straight after the reversal I needed an iron infusion because my ferritin was extremely low. I've been feeling rubbish so I went back and got my iron studies done and my ferritin is down to 8 my surgeon is going to do an endoscopy and colonoscopy next week I'm really worried about this cause I'm not sure why I need them. The rest of the iron studies were fine it was just a ferritin I am a strict vegetarian and I'm thinking that's probably the reason but can anyone tell me have they had to have a colonoscopy 3 or so years after their resection?
