Anterior cervical disectomy with fusion

Had 2 titanium cages inserted into neck and fused together in late January after years of shoulder, arm and hand pain. In worse pain than I ever was. Anyone suffering a similar fate? Thanks for any help.

I'm new to this forum and I wish someone can help me with what to expect from an ACDF that I'm planning to have; I believe it will be a multilevel C-4/C-5/C-6. Any info is appreciated.

Unfortunately I also had this ACDF operation with fusion in the same parts of my spine 16 months ago and the pain is much worse. I would seek a second opinion before going ahead to ensure that all the options have been looked into. They do the operation through your throat also and it can cause problems with your swallow and voice never mind the trauma to your spine. I really dont mean to frighten you but I wouldnt do it if I had known how I would be some 16 months post op. I really wish you well.

I'm contemplating my ACDF surgery due my mobility problems as well as shoulder and arm soreness. I believe I have Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy. My mobility and gait problems have become worse with time and it appears that physical therapy isn't helping with my condition. I can't walk far without resting and my legs feel heavy. Do you know of anyone that have had mobility problems and had an ACDF that helped them with that symptom. I thought my mobility problems were due to my lumbar stenosis so I had a lumbar laminectomy done on my L-4/L-5; it has been over 2 months since the operation and my physical condition hasn't improved. How do I bring this subject up to the forum for comments? Thanks
