anterior repair

2 weeks post op ..never been so tired and having a pulling sensation and cramping .. zero energy .. really thought I would feel a little stronger by now !!!

    Hi Denise. Not to worry - this is completely normal . It's major surgery and really knocks you for six! I'm 4.5 wks and just shocked at how long it's taking to feel better - it's a very bumpy journey! I've got 8 weeks off work and already feeling it's not enough lol. I think everyone varies but I'm a member of the APOPS facebook group and it's so reassuring to find most people have felt the same. Just rest as much as possible and do as little as possible. Maybe just very short walks outside at this stage. Hot water bottle for tummy and same and/or iced pads for any exterior perinium swelling. Iced preemie nappies are great! Hugs 😊 x
