hi ladies
I've had my front wall repaired for the second time a year and half ago along side a tvh fir uterus prolapse.
I am slim, and otherwise healthy 51 year old.
can anyone tell me if yiu have had yiur front wall repaired more than twice? not sure if my front wall feels as tight as it once did after the repair . my back wall will need sorting one day but for now I'm managing on glycerine supps. not sure when all these surgeries will come to an end as it drives my mind nuts.
dam menopause at age 45 brought all this on ,no issues at all prior to that. I'm taking vagifem twice weekly and no other HRT.
any advice please fire away. many thanks. x

Hi welshgirl
I think we've replied to each other before. i had my second anterior prolapse repair in april this year less than a year after the first one failed. this one has not worked either. also am slim-ish 43 year old with a reasonably healthy lifestyle. my pelvic floor strength is good according to physio. i ve done all the exercises so dont meed more physio input! so im not waiting to be referred to a specialst centre as local hospital cannot do anymore. i was prescribed oestrogen cream but i found it irritating.
not sure what a specialist centre will suggest!!
sorry no suggestions but you are not alone with this! xxx

hi lindsay
thankyou for your reply.. the last checkup I had with my proff Urogynacologist he told me all was fine. that was 8 months ago ,however it's always in the back of my mind what if it has it dropped again.
I refuse to look with a mirror as I did thus after my first one and it just drove me insane with paranoia. I know will only be checked by my consultant as he knows what's normal.
I dont think after all these real yiu ever feel it look just like we dud before given birth.
my consultant is fabulous and he told me half of women who has had vaginal births will have some prolapse as everything will drop after menopause and lack of estrogen.
I'm taking vagifem too also use yes oil based lub. what symptoms does the vagifem give you ?
I find drinking too much tea irritates me but otherwise bladder not to bad.
what hassle us ladies put up with hey.
I wish you well.x

hello
I'm sorry to hear this . why wont you go back so you can move forward and decide what's best to do.
after my first anterior I went back 5 times to be told it was ok. I knew it wasnt so decided yo gave a second opinion from another consultant and I was right it had partially failed.
I had it refine w years later with a tvh and im convinced it got worse because I didn't do pelvic floor exercises and I was on my feet a lot.
please go back so he can help you move forward.
