Anti-Smooth Muscle Antibodies

Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on SMA's. I've been feeling unwell for sometime now (recurrent flu-like symptoms, chronic fatigue, headaches etc for a couple of years) and my GP has told me that my recent blood tests have shown I have Anti-Smooth Muscle Antibodies in my system.  The first test, 5 months ago had a level of 1:40 and the latest one showed 1:80. She said she thinks it's a sign of Autoimmune Hepatitis and referred me to a Liver specialist. But all my other tests are clear that would be associated with AIH and my liver function is completely normal. I have read that if you have AIH your anti smooth muscle would be at least over 1:140....So, I was wandering if anyone knows if these antibodies are associated with any other autoimmune diseases or illnesses that can make you feel constantly poorly?! Thank you for your thoughts (-:

    Hi Lucy

    Hope you get well soon.

Recently I attended a training on the causes of chronic fatigue and how to get relieved from it using edg3, I started on it. But the doctor said I need 3 months to feel a difference.

He said that chronic fatigue is caused by inflammation in our cells. Avute inflammation shows symptoms like when we get a wound or insect bite redness and swelling. But chronic inflammation is silent. Later causes fatigue. This is due to the free radicals produced when our cells use oxygen or digest food.

Edg3 is a master antioxidant , immune booster and detoxifier. Hence it neutralizes the free radicals and detoxifies the cells making them healthy again and boosts our immune system to help our cells to heal. He also said that when we make our cells healthy, our organs eventually become healthy then our whole system becomes healthy.

Advise for autoimmune disease specially was to avoid gluten, sugars, white flour , rice. Check on AIP diet online.

I am fighting Graves' disease. Recently got to know all this information, have just started but yet to feel results yet as the doctors say it needs time.

Edg3 is the 3 amino acid precursors of glutathione. It is a patented supplement that allows the body to produce glutathione when required and reduce production when required.

If you'd like to know more information on it. Let me know. I can send you an email.

But generally start eliminating these things from your diet.
