Antibiotics and Zoloft (Sertraline), any thoughts and experiences?

Hi everyone, just wondering if any of you have had to take antibiotics while taking antidepressants. I have a UTI and the Dr prescribed Bactrim DS, I started yesterday and withing one hour of taking the antibiotic I started to feel super anxious and shaky. My pulse got up to 166 and couldn't take the second dose of the medication. I am supposed to start a new medication today, Cipro, but I'm so scared of having another episode and ultimately a heart attack (my anxiety is due to catastrophic thoughts of illnesses). I have been on Zoloft for 33 days now. Anyone can shed some

light?

I am currently taking amoxicillin 3 times a day whilst on day 7 of an upped dosage, didn't even think this "might" be why I am feeling nauseous tonight but I guess it is possible although I would add the Sertraline increases serotonin and the anti biotics will be dealing with infections so 2 different areas of the body.

Make sure you are taking some sort of pro biotic I personally started a pro biotic tablet (that may also be what's making me nauseous god knows lol)

Thank you so much for the reply. I am so nervous because my panick attack yesterday was so intense. I'm going to wait it out today, and start Cipro tomorrow. Will definitely look into probiotics. Didn't know it can be taken with antibiotics. Thanks
