Marsha, I took antibiotics thru my skin specialist, which is the same dosage given to people with Leprosy, believe it or not.  I took them for a year and it completely took away the GA.  I thought it was gone and stopped the Medicine but in 6 months it came back with a vengeance.  I am now back on the antibiotics which are not responding as quickly as before.  It has been over a year I have been taking them.  I do notice a flattening of the outbreak.  It is not as angry and flatter in appearance.  Mine actually itches and welts up when itched.  The GA has similar charistics as Leprosy so this is experimental.  I am 70 years old and have had this since 2000 or so.  It is all over my stomach midriff tops of my feet tops of my hands back of my legs I even think it is in my scalp.

I find it interesting when someone mentioned histamine in your system.  I have always had ultra bad reactions with poison ivy sumach and oak, bee stings.  My skin would swell totally out of proportion.

    Cheryl
