Generally speaking Elise the medications can work quite well. Sometimes people do not allow long enough for the medication to work as it can take upwards of four to six weeks for them to settle your condition and help yo recover.

Depending on your condition and treatment plans your GP offers ca also help you as well.

Some side affects in the early stages of AD medications can be unsettling be patient, give the medications time to work

Look up MINDFULNESS and Breathing Techniques on the internet. The former, Mindfulness is a relaxation technique and that can be very helpful. If your Anxiety is bad BREATHING TECHNIQUES can also help calm you dowm

You should find sites on web or in book form on Amazon that may help

    HI there Elise

    I've just read your post

You must have been to Dr's by now..

    Did they prescribe you anything?

I have been on many antidepressants the key is getting the right one for you.

It took me years to get the right ones for me everyone's different.

If you have been prescribed anything take it easy they may have a few side affects but they go in a couple of weeks.

Maybe let me know how you got on??

    Take care

I hope this wont be closed because of advertising etc cos I am not. YOu ahve to try a good lot probably before you find one that works.
