Pain is such a personal thing and different in each individual,

I've been in horrendus pain for weeks in most of my joints chest knees and feet, I wouldn't get through my day without pain releif and although I'm on a maximum dosage I still feel terrible pain constantly,

I dread to think how I would be without pain releif, but we keep going, good luck

leona, you don't say what pain relief you are on, maybe you could add something like Paracetmol, Asprin to Codiene. I can't takeNSAISs but an Asprin added to my Dihydrocodiene and Paracetmol takes some of the swelling down and eases the pain a little. You probably already know that but you aren't here to ask so don't be offended.

hope you have a better day today

      Take care and stay warm!

I have been on them for 12 months. I started off an a very low dose 10mg, then went up to 25mg but they made me very groggy in a morning. I am now taking 20mg - they took a few weeks to kick in but I sleep a lot better and am not in as much pain now. I have a dry mouth during the night but just have a glass of water at my bedside. They have also helped with my irritable bladder - I used to get up at least 3 or 4 times a night but sometimes sleep through now. I have put on a few pounds but am normally very slim so it hasn't been a problem. I have a larger appetite than I used to have so just watch what I eat and my weight has not increased since the initial few pounds. I know a lot of people won't take prescription meds but they have allowed me to return to work albeit on reduced hours. I am hoping that eventually I will be able to reduce my tablets again or stop them completely but at the moment they work for me. I also take vitamin D and magnesium supplements, do Tai Chi and meditate most days. I also manage some gentle exercise - mainly stretches and walking. Hope some of this is of use. Let us know how you get on.biggrin

Hi yes I'm going to try vitamin B and magnesium I've been reading a lot of positive results on it lately,

tai-chi wow I joined a class a few years ago with a lot of persuading from a friend, when I walked in the local hall was full of people a lot older than myself,I thought what has she brought me to, well after an introduction we started, I was shattered to say the least, I only managed four weeks, so much for me sniggering at the oldies who were brilliant and jumped over me head 😄

I teach meditation and take relaxation classes twice a week, it's good for the body and soul,

I still work full time and do a lot of walking when I can. X
