Antidepressants making me feel nauseous, what will help

I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression yesterday and was given sertraline but they're making me feel nauseous. Will gingerbread green tea help relieve the nausea (I've heard ginger tea helps but I don't know if it's the same thing) also is there anything I can eat with it as I've tried eating a cereal bar but only managed one bite as it was making me feel worse

I've found peppermint tea quite good, but to be honest haven't really had much of an issue with nausea. This is day one, and I would expect things to improve for you and this will pass.
How much are you taking and what time of day? I have mine in the morning with some breakfast tea and seem to do ok, although my appetite has been up and down recently.

I've had awful nausia for almost 4 weeks but it is decreasing. I use Peppermint Oil in water, Ginger Cordial (almost hot) and also so stuff from the Chemist for nausea; a rather vivid pink liquid that tastes a bit odd but works quite well. Not all at the same time by the way. I also find that if I eat something simple like soup or mashed banana with Ko Ko Milk (not dairy) then the nausea subsides somewhat.

Peppermint Oil, slightly diluted.
Believe it or not, nice and warm Heinz Tomato Soup

Hi, I'm on day 6, starting on 50g! It made me feel dreadful very edgy and very sick! So I've decided just to take half which is suiting me better! But still feeling very sick, but Lucozade seems to be helping!
