I do at time ex specially when I feel in so much pain.

It's a worry about how you will cope as you get older

I guess we have to take it day by day we will get really bad days

but also some not so bad days.

    I'm lucky I have a supportive family.

I had a very bad bout of anxiety last year.  I took one day at a time.  If I drove anywhere I broke the drive down into segments. I also found that a little walk helped.

Anxiety can be a symptom of Fibro. I was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder. Its horrific and I was unable to leave the house for a week after it came on. I was prescribed 30ml citalopram which really helped after a couple of  weeks. I take it in the evening as it helps you sleep too. I also was refered for CBT which really helped and Im still doing that. There is help out there, but you need to get to a doctor and tell him how you are feeling. Anxiety is totally irrational and you can feel so daft telling someone how you are feeling ( one of my fears was that my cat was going to die in a hay baler), but its dehabilitating and can control your life if you dont get help. Best wishes and you are not alone !!!!!

    Dear Susan63652

Anxiety is a part of life for everybody. It only varies according to age, circumstances etc. The only people not likely to suffer from any form of anxiety are those lacking imagination or those lacking the mental capacity to reason properly.

You are not alone. I think it is helpful to try to interest yourself in something new or that you can lose yourself in. Helping others in some way can help too. I did several bouts of charity work when I was younger and it must have helped to fill some gap in my life  at that time. Unfortunately it is not always possible to do much when affected by physical problems but if your brain is working thenI think you should use it for something to distract you from the worries of life. What about the arts? Music, poetry, painting, writing to your M.P. to try to get more research into fibromyalgia.

Sorry to be so wordy but I do understand where you are coming from and so do a lot of other people.

    Best wishes

    Brenda
