Hi

ive only real developed Health anxiety over the last month or so. I, very worried that I might be starting to show signs of multiple sclerosis. I'm 17 years old and I'm a boy, and I have had bad stomach pain and constipation for like the last month or so, and I've been felling very weak, also I've noticed that sometimes I stutter when I'm speaking. these are all symptoms of MS, and I don't know wether I'm worrying to much, I've also been waking up with stiffness  and aching muscles. I'm really scared that it could be this as it and I'm totally freaking out. I don't know wether these symptoms are only because I'm thinking about it. But I'm petrified, if I have this my life is basically over and I'm so young I just want to be healthy.

No MS and it would not show at 17. I know people with it and am familiar with this condition. So dont even waste any of your energy on it. Wasted worry. Ms and anxiety share 18% of the symptoms that is why many think that. It is not MS.

Go get a physical exam. Air your thoughts. Then get into yoga or some exercise program And keep hydrated. possibly before this ecalates out of control maybe speak with a counsellor.

Okay thanks you Lisa, I don't know why I've started worrying so much lately, I've got a blood test for diabetes next week and hopefully I don't have that, I'm hoping that all of this will pass within time, because it's making me really stressed as I'm constantly worrying and I'm not focus in on anything but it . 😟

The constant worrying needs to be addressed. Its like a hamster running on a wheel kind of thing. It can be guided properly so this all calms down. Therapy, cbt, or any self calming tool or skill that resonates with you. Yoga is the simpliest and easiest to access to help you out.  Thats why i mention it. Watch a video on an anxiety disorder, on health anxiety just so you really understand whats happening.utube has tons. Feel better and good luck on your exams. This disorder is manageable with good guidance.

Personally your concerns only seem to be an anxiety although at seventeen yu could have been playing Sports or other activities.

My condition mimics MS and you would know if something like this is present.

Yes I understand your fears and whatever we say regarding this you need to take advice so make that appointment to see your GP in the first instance, to put your mind at rest

      Hello

You need to give your mediation time to work, about another week or two.

Do you know the reasons why you are suffering at this time.?. To know and understand these reasons can help you recover and get on with your life. Is it due to loosing a close Partner ?. Depending on the reasons  being with your Parents may be the best place to be.

      How can I help ??

Hi, Joeyboy:  I am 68 yrs. old and I've suffered from anxiety from the minute I was born.  I would advise you to see a doctor and have all the major tests for MS or other diseases.  If they say that you have none of these dreaded diseases, then you can go on the assumption that you suffer from anxiety, which is a disease in itself.

Anxiety can cause so many symptoms you wouldn't believe it.  Every day, even on meds, I have dreaded thoughts, symptoms of severe arthritis, fast heartbeat, etc.  I finally found a doctor when I was a lot younger who found the right combination of meds to keep it under conrol, but, unfortunately, mine has never gone away.  You are very young, so please don't let anxiety destroy the pleaures in life like it has mine.  Get a good checkup by a GP, and then a psychologist and find out just what the problem is...Take it from me, sweetheart...life is too short to stay at home and worry about what you MIGHT have....HUGS.
