Hey Victoria, usually it works within a few weeks. youll sometimes feel the side effects or earlier within a few days. from my experience it did not help me at all with my anxiety and actually made my anxiety worse. My doctor ended up switching me over to a low dosage of Ativan instead which was much better for me personally. the Ativan is taken when needed like when you're having strong anxiety sometimes you your doctor prescribes. for me taking Ativan was much better then taking pregabalin. it really is dependent on you as a person but personally I would not advise it but that might work differently for everybody. when I first started taking pregabalin I experienced dizziness blurred vision my doctor told me eventually I'd get used to it a few months later I did get used to it but overall I became more anxious. but I was prescribed it for pain. it didn't help with either really the best thing for me was to work out regularly and change my eating habits and occasionally take Ativan if my anxiety was extremely bad. I don't know if this will help you but this helped me every time I had severe anxiety I tried to calm myself down by saying look at where you are are you safe and if I was I would instantly start to feel better also worried about the future added to my anxiety so it was really important for me to try to stay in the present. I hope it works out for you and if you have any other questions let me know.
