Hi i have been diagnosed with long term covid and been prescribed 2mg diazapan 3 times a day 1 50mg of sertaline which i have been taking for 9 days and because now im not sleeping i have been giving mirtazapine 15mg but getting different answers about taking sertaline and mirtazapine, im having all the side effects from sertaline but my nurse told me its normal until they kick in but scared to mix tablets

wow seriously thats some heavy medication! antidepressants wont help with long covid.

Sounds like you've had a terrible time of it! I've been taking Mirtazapine and Sertraline for a long time and it's absolutely fine. This was prescribed by my Psychiatrist- every now and then when getting my repeat prescriptions from the GP they raise an eyebrow but it's really from lack of education on the different ways they work.
The start up side effects of any of these drugs can be brutal so starting two brand new anti depressants at the same time is quite full on for your system to try to adapt to but it won't cause you any actual harm. The start up side effects do go away though!
