hallo

I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and I feel secondary gains i.e. when I feel like I might want the anxiety to stay maybe because it's my comfort zone and because I get empathy what to do against it

Thank you

I know what you were saying however after a while the empathy from other people starts to diminish because honestly they do get tired of hearing about it and all of the complaints. I found that people enjoy my company way more when I am in a pleasant mood and not super anxious. Nobody wants to be around that all the time. they cant really help someone with anxiety except just to listen and offer empathy. But many Times it may not be real sincere .

best thing to do is work on managing the anxiety so that you can feel like a whole person and have some peace and joy in your life. The thing about anxiety is that it’s not really your friend because it robs you of living a happy life.
