anxiety about health

About 3 years ago, or more I started having chect discmfort, not pain just weird tightness/fullness, sonetines kind os a bruised spot inside feeling. I was day after day, I was so scared that a heart attack was coming finally went to a Dr. I even got choked up during routine questions I guess out of fear. He said he didnt think anything was wrong with my heart. He diagnosed me (by question) with anxiety/panic, put me on prozac (sp?0 after about 5 days I was a mess, every side effect, I got. I stopped it. Went to another Dr he diagnosed the same thing. I begged for an ekg, got it, said it was fine. Begged for a blood test wok up, got it everything was fine except b12 very low. I started and still take a b12 shot once a month. Now and the past 6 months I have seen improvement in my symptoms of chest discomfort and arms feeling weird but I still get them. I still am afraid and every pain, discomfort, or anything I feel, I get all upset waiting and looking for aomething really bad to happen. When I get an ache or pain like this evening (pain in one spot in my back left) its all I can think about, Im sweaty, a little nauseated etc. Sure I hear other people say thay have a headache or their back hurts, etc.. but is it normal to almost at all times have something going on? Do other people just not mention it? and if thats the case is that why I am so cared of something happening because I dont think its normal to always have something going on likemy arm feeling numb or having dry mouth etc? My main worry is my heart because thats what started it all several years ago with the weird feeling and continues to this day. I keep telling myself nothing has happened bad so far so my heart must be ok, but can a person have issues like mine for years and nothing happen till later? Or would it have happened by now? any nput would be appreciated

Gosh i feel like we sre in the same boat.i know what you mean with people seldom complain of chest discomfort. me too..i feel chest discomfort alot and i definitely cant describe it as pain..for me its the same too..but mine usually is the worst when i wake up from sleep..its like cramp/sore feeling..like sometimes it feels bruised too..its drive me insane thinking of heart attack and all those mumbo jumbo!!i have been diagnosed with anxiety for 6 mths now..i did 2 ecgs which came out fine, full blood count which is good too..and urine tyroid test which is clear..and blood pressure and heart rate checked numerous times and have around 5 docs listened to my heart and told me all seem strong and fine..so my gp told me anxiety cause all this symptoms..i just went to check again with my gp pertaining to my back and chest discomfort and he precribe with xanan and muscle relaxant and some pill for nerve pain..he also gave me iron for my hair since i told him i have excessive hair fall and he also gave me vitamin b..so far i havent tried medication yet but i think i will try the muscle relaxant and vitamin b later..so dont worry..i feel exactly the same as you daily..i will wake up with chest soreness and cramps right in the middle of my chest..it will then slowly feel better throughout the day but the next morning it will be the same again..you think it may due to gas?cause for me every since i had this 6 mths ago,i havent been able to eat properly and lost alot of weight..so maybe its the gas build up or something..

Anxoety symptoms can be all the time and last a long time. The more your worry and think about it the worse you feel and the worse the symptoms become. It's a vicious cycle.
I had constant physical symptoms for about 2 years then the y calmed down but I still had the mental thoughts all the time always have but the physicals symptoms calmed down (only having the odd head ache, chest pain, dizzy need shortness off brewrh) until about two month ago. Which all seemed to of started from me just simply having a numb leg which I know was just from me sat funny.
From then, i have been a mess barely being able to get up! The day after it happened I woke up having a panic attack... This time over though it seems to of affected my stomach more than anything. I've been waking up with pains in my chest though that sometimes last all day and can be quite intense. I have put it down to anxoety as I've had ecgs in the past, bloods and even a heart scan because if he chest discomfort in the past. I've been trying to keep calm but I am in the doctors with my stomach as my anxiety is awful so there testing for other things obviously jsut to be on the safe side and give me peace of mind.
