I dont use meds except an emergency xanax but being honest I would have that same curiosity. I truely would. I would think some extreme symptoms occur and because so many people use these meds hospitals are more aware of it. Imwonder if when yiu are out in these meds the dr or pharmacist would explain this. Lol i made myself laugh i doubt it but it would make sense to educate the person.

meds arent the cure or a requirement. For this disorder. Yes when you cant handle itmor function very useful if they work. But not a must at all. Theres tons of alternatives they just take a lot longer to work. And so you do onow 90 percent of serotonin is made by you in your gut. This is why cleaning up your digestiin and eating right is so important. So your gut properly functions then makes its own serotonin. And belly breathing. Belly breathing is am absolute must learn and practice  thing. Lastly i winder if there are foods that can boost this. Or juicing. I use cerly juice, green apple and one inch ginger when im stressed. Its some stress tonic i learned about. And im going for acuouncture which they inclide mediation with this.. just saying seek out other ways besides pills. Because you just brought up a very important and wise question. And those pills do interact with other foods and meds so you do kpneed to be aware of all this. Not sure i would actually use that even if i could. They have others too. Thats whats trending for anxiety at this time,

sometimes i do think the fear and disorder ruin people from using meds they could benifit from. And sometimes i believe its a gut feeling. Sadly we arent good with seperating the two because the fear mucks it all up and you end uo not trusting the world, the process of live or even yourself.  It sucks!

Thank you for your reply. I've tried a hand full of meds and only one seemed to be kind of working. Also when my blood test came back I had vitamin D deficiency and barley by a tad my thyroid over the normal amount. So she didn't do anything about so I think that's ok? I had experience SOME symptoms of serotonin syndrome but then again I have GAD and MDD so they are half similar. I'm having weird muscles twitches anymore since I've been off of a new med and not crying as much so I'm switching back to the other that seemed to be more improving. Sometimes I just think what if it's just what I eat and just have to take vitamins to feel better. But she said it will take more then that. But when I fell in this rut years ago, I would of take natural supplements such as vitiman b complex and magnesium citrate and it keeped my anxiety at bay and made it easier to just brush off but I had stoped taking thoes for about 2 years? And it came back stronger then ever and tried taking them again but didn't work. So that's why I'm overthinking everything about meds and vitamins and health issues ahhhh

      Hi Sophie,

its all very well trying to use natural remedies but sometimes they arent enough to deal with our anxiety.  Thats when dr steps in with meds. I have had rollercoaster on these, still not better.  What do you take if you dont mind me asking?  My dr is talking about augmentation. Serotonin syndrome is something i think you would know if you had it, dont feel you need to worry about it.  Just try to get better.

Dr says i worry too much, but thats what GAD does to me, and the anxiety is now getting higher.

I was taking Pristiq and hydroxyzine was feeling worst in it and felt alittle bit better on remeron, so now I am taking remeron 15mg instead of 7.5mg which did help me when I first took it at night so I'm trying that again and pdoc gave me Rexulti. .5mg first week and second 1mg. Never tired that before but going to tomorrow when I wake up. Pretty nervous about taking it.
