Anxiety - Aching Neck & Armpits, could this be anxiety?

Has anyone else has this? I suffer from really bad health anxiety. Recently, I have had a really back few weeks of severe anxiety and I keep getting aches in my neck, underarm (normally left one) and occasionally my groin. I have had a feel and can't feel any lymph nodes (apart from one in my neck that has been there for about 4 years and never gone down). I am petrified that I have Lymphoma, but my Dr just fobs me off. Has anyone else had these symptoms with anxiety?

    Hi Gayle,

I recently started experiencing armpit, shoulder, and arm pain about two months ago. Had EKG, wore holter moniotor, had 3D mammogram and all came out normal. I still have no idea what is causing it but seems possibly connected to my menstrual cycle. I have some other health issues going on so not sure if that is cause but I definitely can tell my anxiety is either a trigger or makes it worse so now I question if it is all just caused by anxiety. My lymph nodes under arm are not swollen it just gets painful to touch. No lumps at all either. I have bad health anxiety now due to my being in my late 40s.

-Most definitely. I've had these pains with anxiety. Not long ago my neck was stiff and painful for about 10 straight days. I even tried sleeping in a different bed with different pillows but it still persisted. It eventually moved to my arm, underarm, and calf. (All left side) It felt like I had a rubberband wrapped under my arm with nerve sensitivity down that arm. The same with my calf. My arm is still doing it here and there but has gotten better. My calf is still day to day.

My wife noticed me tensing in my sleep. Like I would tighten my muscles for no reason, then move position and relax again. I assume this is causing my pain in the day, though my level of pain comes and goes throughout the day.

I also experience this. My left arm is always in pain as well as my armpit. I also feel dizzy and nausea. I've done lots of test but all came back normal.
