Anxiety after a car accident

Hello I really hope someone can help me almost a month ago in (June 24th) I was an a car accident I received minor injuries but still suffering from anxiety but let me start where someone could help me I was wearing my seatbelt and but when my car spun around I was jerked around at the time I was taking to hospital my right shoulder was hurting as I was passager well after x-rays an exams I was diagnosed with bruises and "Widing of the shoulder" well Sunday I was really sore much to be expected well come Sunday or Monday I started experiencing pain in my left shoulder and the lower left side of my head I did go to the doctor on Tuesday the 26th and told him about my pain he didn't seem to worried just chalked it up to just over all pain a few days later I noticed the bruises in my stomach had developed lumps in them nearly a month has passed I am still having anxiety about everything (Which is nothing new) but it is worse then usual I am still having pain in my left shoulder neck and lower left part of my head and my nieces are healed but I do still have lumps in my lower left stomach that are painful to the touch I should mention that I was hit with airbag and broken glass my mom is a nurse and when I mentioned the lumps she says I could still have external bruising but I am worried about them and the pain in left shoulder and head has anyone heard of this or experienced this and can maybe shine some light I am worried cause it's been nearly a month and I can't sleep on my right side due to the painful lumps which is causing me to sleep on my left the only side I can get comfortable on which causes me to wake up in pain sorry about the long post I hope someone can help

    Hi Winnie, I used to deal with personal injury claims and it was common place for injury symptoms to only manifest themselves weeks later. They tend to say it can take 6-8 weeks for injury symptoms to settle so don't worry too much. Give yourself another month and you should be feeling a lot better.

      On another note you might want to go for some physio? Your GP can arrange this.

      Thank You for the reply I will give myself another month in trying to avoid going to the doctor because it was a car accident my medical insurance will not pay cause I was passenger in someone else car we are trying to get the woman who caused us to have the accident insurance to pay for medical bills but that's taking a while but if I have to I will definitely go back to the doctor
