Anxiety And Coughing

I was diagnosed with anxiety back in July. I had just recently got over Pneumonia in June. I have been having weird symptoms but the ER and GP doctor's claim that I'm fine. But I can't seem to get over chest pain, side rib and back issues, but most of all a cough. Can someone please let me know, is a cough related to anxiety? I need to know because I'm thinking the worse with this chest pain and cough, been weeks and its still there.

Anxiety can be linked to coughing and I thought this was my problem, too. But it turned out I have mild asthma - have they tested you for this? Asthma is nothing frightening (in my mind, anyway,) it's more annoying. Usually I cough at the peak of anxiety, but sometimes it can be from getting angry or even laughing. Sometimes (though this is rare,) physical activities can do it. I don't want to scare you by suggesting it - I don't even give it the time of day which is odd because I suffer terribly from anxiety.

If you don't have asthma, I think things like the illness you say you had could leave tisidual problems, like an annoying fans persistent cough.

I do know anxiety alone can cause a nervous cough it I would still recommend that you have an asthma test smile
