Hiya , palpitations are part of anxiety, there is really not much you can do about it. Some meditation and breathing brings some relief. Im just used to my heart palpitations now, I forget they there sometimes but I know the struggle xxx

I had major palpitations too. I stopped drinking caffeine; i.e. Coffee, chocolate, tea and so on. I also stopped consuming sugars and salt and alcohoI. I drink herbal teas and use raw honey for sweetness. I practice yoga and meditation. I haven't had palpitations in months. My anxiety also is under control. Im not on any meds, dont want to. I dont smoke either. I am also seeing a therapist and doing accupuncture. Youtube and Itunes have some great meditation and breathing exercises that will help you combat palpitations. I also stay away from social media, the News and anything that can make my heart rate increase. I hope this helps, hang in there, you are not alone, im right there with you, just breath and stay calm.

Hi Luis.I am booked in for a quiz this evening.I have the usual symptons headache churning tummy etc.Iam always afraid I will be unwell at the event. Therefore I don't like going out.How do you manage?

I experienced the same fears too, i didnt want to go anywhere thinking that i might get sick. Again its important to remain calm, tell yourself its ok. My therapist told me not to use the word sick when it came to describing my symptons. She said to tell myself that "i have anxiety, i am not sick" it actually does help. Meditation, you must try meditation, it really does help to calm you down. It brings down your breathing which is a huge part of palpitations.

Any symptoms related to anxiety cannot hurt you! Even the palpitations. They are a natural part of anxiety and the reason you get them is because when you feel anxious your brain sends out the hormone called adrenaline. Adrenaline causes rapid heartbeat .  It will not hurt you or your heart.

Try doing some long slow deep breathing where are you concentrate on your breath.

go to YouTube and search for mindful breathing meditation. They guide you through it and help you calm down in your heart rate should calm down also. There are several to choose from and they really help!

they also have mindful meditation for anxiety, depression, sleeping. They completely calm down my mind and body. I do them a couple times a day in my symptoms often disappear. I think they could really help you!

You need to calm down your mind and body to slow down the heart rate. Search YouTube for guided meditation for anxiety . Also guided meditation for breathing.

Either of these will help calm down the mind and your heart rate should slow down.

once you learn the proper breathing and why it is important, you can do it anywhere when you feel your heart starts to race.
