Anxiety and menstrual cycle!!

It's it possible to feel like absolute sh*t a week before your periods? It's exactly a week today till they start and I've woken up this morning feeling so lightheaded so irratible my stomach is so sick! IBS headaches and just crap all over feel so tired and breathless too😞 someone help

    Yes, yes yes & yes to all of those symptoms...very normal. I find one month I have an OK period & the next it's horrible, I get suicidal feeling too with my PMS. I don't know if it's in the DSM V but it was considered a "mental health" issue recently...."premenstural dysphoric disorder"...

      Really? Me too sometimes but not all the time I'm the same some months can be worse then others x

    Hi Rachel, I'm a bloke so I can't empathise but I do know my wife gets very grumpy and irritable a week before her period and one of our friends even went as far as having a hysterectomy due to anxiety and depression she put down to hormonal imbalance! 

    She just kept going on at her GP and consultant who eventually agreed to the procedure after a few years.

      The best thing to help you would be good diet I'm anemic to diet and excersice is always the key huni x
