Anxiety and not feeling like myself

So I have anxiety for quite sometime mostly related to health. I suffer with migraines and that causes me anxiety itself but I also think sometimes I am having a stroke, brain tumor etc well I've been having anxiety and panic attacks and now just feel weird like not myself. Even when I feel ok I start getting anxiety thoughts about what if I'm not myself, you really don't feel ok etc and that just fuels my anxiety! Please help

The last test I had was an MRI which was normal. I know all of my thoughts are ridiculous but I can't seem to shake them

Jessica, I don't think your thoughts are ridiculous but you probably do need to stop over-analysing every little thing that happens in your body. It won't help you, and having more tests won't help you, either. I don't have an easy answer to this, unfortunately, but you do have my sympathy because I realise that I am lucky in that if I have tests for anything and they come back as normal, I believe the results.
People with health anxiety constantly seek reassurance that they are not about to drop dead from a heart attack. or have a stroke/ Or MS. Or a million other things.
There are meditation tapes on you tube which are supposed to be very helpful. Have you tried any?

I go through this same thing!!!! I pray I feel better then when I feel better I wonder if "better" is "normal" meditation! That's what helps me.

I've never tried meditation! Sounds like I need to. Do you do it with videos or what?

I find, if I am worried about anything, which is not health anxiety by the way, just day-to-day anxiety, or general fed-up-ness, that playing some really good versions of my favourite music on you tube lifts my spirits enormously. I just go to you tube and treat myself.

Hi Jessica, your experiencing some very typical anxious thoughts, you accept you suffer from migraines but cannot help yourself from thinking the "what if's" which is typical thought processes with an anxiety disorder, ie you find it difficult to rationalise your thoughts.
The even when I feel okay scenario is typical of someone suffering an anxiety disorder.
You can try and find a self help workbook to help you deal with your anxiety and find coping strategies or see a professional therapist, you don't say if your on any meds but these can really help.
Your worry is fuelling your anxiety and panic but to rationalise things you know you suffer from migraines so when you get one you know the symptoms are just migraines because that's what you suffer from. I know the old "what if" scenario creeps in which often sabotages the rational but the more you focus on the rational the more it will overcome the what ifs as you build up a body of evidence that it's not what you fear.
