Anxiety and stress caused tremors

Hi, I'm a 35 year old male with anxiety and stress. I worry a lot and this gives me tremors. I worry about something for 10 minutes then a muscle moves for a second or two then it stops. However I noticed that if I put a paper on my hand the paper slightly moves so a slight tremor is constantly there. Is this a life threatening problem? Will tremors get worse with time? Thanks

    Hi Paul,

Tremors are a common anxiety symptom. It could be that you're still so ramped up that your body has to continue to tremor to release that adrenaline. I would try and get your stress and anxiety under better control and see if that reduces or eliminates the tremors. If you continue to have anxieties without treatment it can certainly continue. That's one of the symptoms I experience due to my anxieties. Once I was able to take some control of my condition, the tremors reduced considerably. I'm still working through my anxieties so I do still experience them.

Thanks for your answer. I have a question, do you know if this tremor is life threatening?

No tremor is not life threatening it's just what happens when people suffer anxiety.. the tremor will go away when anxiety is under control

Tremors are not life threatening. They're are symptoms of a condition. However, if you don't work to manage your stress and anxieties, it will continue to put a strain on you physically and mentally. Its well worth starting treament as soon as you can. The sooner you begin the sooner and easier it is to tackle it. Start with therapy if you're able to. I hear great things about CBT. Maybe talk with your doctor about supplements. There are some out there that help with relaxation. But speak with your doctor first to make sure your organs are healthy enough to take them and to get advice on how much you should take.

You'll get through this. This is beatable with some work.

Hi. Au explained it so well. My tremors can come and go . (I know they are not dangerous) but worse with anxiety, very common. Mine only really bother me now if I have them and people notice, now I just have excuses ready like I'm shaky cos cold or if i notice it when I'm using phone or signing things I do it quickly. Got. Used to it over years and know it's not dangerous, just a little intrusive. Glad you asked for advice as it's scary at first not knowing what it is??

Always get a physical exam. This is a forum no one can actually examine you. But yes indeed tremors, shakiness, twitches, little tics, vibrations all accompany anxiety disorders and at times not even knowing you are anxious they are there. I guess the body holds the anxiety too. Do try magnessium salt foot soaks. I dont think they worse just maybe more constant.

Try and drink at least 60 ounces of water a day. Make the muscles and tendons more hydrated as well. Rid caffienee and msg. Many hidden msg labels. Msg is a culprit in anxiety as well. Everyone knows about caffiene. All these food additives are hurting people who are sensitive. To be blunt it will make you pee a lot for the first few weeks. Watermelon, papaya, avacadoes, kale.pumpkin seeds.add it into your diet too. I have been juicing for a year on and off. Not a fan of the taste. Some of this is not taking care of your body as well. Anxiety wrecks havoc on the body it drains it of a lot of nutrition, minerals and such. Its a rough disorder to say the least but also epidemic at this point globally, a nice massage weekle is also useful nail spas do them for a very inexpensive price. Male or female doesnt matter. They bring you in a back room.
