the last couple of days i have been doing good but tonight when i lay down and try to get to sleep it feels like i stop breathing and i start gasping for air but as soon as I sit up i can take deep breaths, im afraid to fall asleep because I fear dying, is this just anxiety or is something else going on, i have talked with my doctor about this and told nothing is wrong but i still fear the worse is going to happen

This is possibly anxiety but you are facing these symptoms from a very longer time then these are the signs of sleep apnea. You must consult your doctor or primary care physician about the symptoms. Sleep apnea is also characterized as sleep disorder in which your breath usually gets interrupted and you starts choking. Don't be panic go to your doctor for further advise.

HERES WHAT I SUGGEST
when you are lying in bed, listen to a short audio on breathing which is on YouTube. It is called stop panic attack now. Even though you may not be having a panic attack, this short meditation helps you get control of your breathing and it really works for me!anxiety can do this to you so you need to learn how to relax and breathe properly.
there are all kinds of breathing, anxiety, sleep meditations on YouTube that can totally relax you so you fall asleep. I never make it through an entire meditation because I do fall asleep.
also, Think of what may be causing your anxiety in your life. This most likely has a lot to do with your breathing issue. Speaking with a good counselor about this can give you some tools to help you manage your anxiety. And be able to sleep better. ❤

Hello brandon, you are having anxiety! I do have that too like maybe shortness of breathe when im having panic attacks. It sucks when u have it when you are about going to sleep. Cant breathe, heart pumping fast. So dont worry! Just sleep and get some rest!

hey buddy always clean your nose before you sleep if you breathe through your nose and it gets blocked at night that will wake u up panicking!! and I'm sure its anxiety im going through the same and worse drink hot 🍋 juice before you sleep it reduces stress if you sleep anxious that might give you nocturnal panic attacks.
