Anxiety and visual symptoms

- eye flashes, particularly when eyes are closed - as if flashlights were shone at me
- flickering of peripheral vision
- black or white spots in field of Vision

so this has happened to me also. Sometimes it is stress related, or anxiety.
However, you should have an exam done by an ophthalmologist or optician.
call for an appointment and explain your symptoms. Don’t panic. but I had a lifting of the retina. and it was an easy fix. i’ve never lost any of my vision, so everything was fine afterwards.
Not sure your age but I am in my 60s and it can happen more so in that age range and older.
i’m just advising you to get checked out to be on the safe side. if they don’t find anything wrong, then it’s most likely stress and anxiety related. Take care.

i get the flickery eyes when i got into the supermarket, such an odd sensation

I get this when my anxiety is heightened - I googled it for ever as I thought it was an issue with my eyesight. I went to do all the tests and nothing. The only article I could find is it the potential impact of cortisone / adrenaline on your vision / cells in your eyes when these levels are high for long periods.
